Dulles International Is Ready for a Major Upgrade

A historic $20+ billion initiative will transform IAD into a premier global gateway. Travelers can look forward to modern concourses, expanded flight and dining options, improved security screening, new AeroTrain connections and upgraded baggage systems - all while preserving the airport’s iconic architecture.

New signage is being installed throughout IAD as the new 14-gate Concourse E prepares to open this fall. We look forward to welcoming passengers to the new concourse, which marks the first phase of several planned improvements across the airport. 🛄

Now Boarding: Nonstop to Orange County, California

United Airlines launched new nonstop service from IAD to Orange County's John Wayne Airport (SNA) on August 11. Passengers celebrated the inaugural flight with a special gate event before departing for sunny Southern California. The flight will operate daily, year around.
