| Every Earth Day, pick up one or two sustainable habits that help your family, your community, and your planet. Or better yet, start a sustainable business that contributes to all three! The green economy has grown by 20% in the past three years. Meaning more and more businesses and people are joining the shift to sustainability. We highlighted some businesses that dove into the green economy by aligning their values around sustainability. And, they used Looka to make their logo 😉! Check them out below. Before you go, here are some easy actions that reduce your carbon footprint (and your bills). Small steps lead to big changes! Go car-free (or carpool): Dust off your bike and running shoes, or call up a coworker or friend to carpool to work or the grocery store. Reduce waste: Bring your own cup to the coffee shop, carry a refillable water bottle, and pack your own lunch! Single-use plastics are riddling the world with unnecessary waste. Meat-free Mondays: Pick any day to cook a vegetarian or vegan meal. Choose something delicious from The Minimalist Baker and have fun with it! Choose the sustainable option: Shop secondhand, choose quality over quantity, and mend things that are broken. Remember, it's REDUCE, reuse, recycle. Host a litter-picking party: grab a bag and a friend, and walk around your neighbourhood to collect litter.
